Thanksgiving weekend was packed full of fun! We really missed Mimsie though since she had to stay home sick. She had given Vivian a stuffed bunny that talked to her with Mimsie's recorded voice. This is what she looks like when she hears it:
We went to Mary Dowcett's house for Turkey dinner and Vivian was happy with Granny and we were glad to see Liam.
Lindsey made apple and pumpkin pie as well as a delicious butternut squash casserole. Everything was really good.
Davis made some really good oysters Rockefeller for an appetizer. Some of the best oysters I have ever had. Mary made the turkey and it was really good and juicy.
After dinner we all went for a walk. Vivian got to wear her new winter coat and I think she liked it. She didn't get cold, that's for sure.
We didn't go shopping on Black Friday, instead Lindsey baked a cake for Liam's birthday party all day. She made it really fun and tasty.
It was 6 layers, all the colors of the rainbow, a great birthday cake for Liam's 1st birthday. He wasn't sure about eating it, but I think he had fun playing with it.
After playing with his cake, he likes to sit back and relax.
Vivian had a lot of fun at Liam's party. She had fun with Uncle Davis.
After all the craziness was over, Liam and Vivian got to hang out together before we left on Sunday. I think Christmas time will be a lot of fun when Vivian can sit up and play with the other little cousins.
Today Vivian is 5 months old. It is hard to believe that it has been that long already. She is a happy little girl and is doing great almost sitting up now. I think she will have it down in a week or two. We had fun taking pictures this morning. She seems to know to smile for the camera now. So I got some good ones.
